Welcome to the 2010 - 2011 school year.  I look forward to my third year year as principal of RES. It is my pleasure to be the Principal at such a special school.   Rosman Elementary School is the place to be!  The staff is the most dedicated and wonderful group of educators it has been my pleasure to work with.  The children are delightful and I often tell my family and friends how lucky I am to have landed in heaven on earth!

The goal of everyone in our school is to motivate and teach students in order to help them move forward academically, socially and emotionally.  They are our future citizens in an ever-changing technological world. We strive to do our best to prepare students for the challenges they will face in the future.  In 2009 - 2010, RES was named a "School of Distinction" since at least 80% of our third through fifth grade students were at or above grade level on End-of-Grade tests.

Parents and family members can support the education of their child/children by being partners in education. Some tips to help support the students are:

• Check backpacks/orange folders/ planners every night for important information that is sent home.
• Visit our website often.  It is updated regularly.
• Read with your child every night. You are your child's best role model.
• Contact the teacher with any questions or concerns.
• Get involved!  Join the PTO and become an active member :-)

We appreciate the support of all our parents and community friends.  Without you, our task would be much harder.  I invite you to come and visit, volunteer in a classroom, tutor a child or share your talents in your own special way.  My office is always open and I would love the opportunity to meet with you to share ideas and goals for the future.   

Thank you for sharing your most precious gift with us.  It is truly a joy to see all the smiling faces each day.  The glint in a student’s eye when he or she “understand a new concept or solves a problem” makes every day an adventure.  I look forward to lots of adventures!
